A Mobile Phone With A 41-Megapixel Sensor
Demonstrated at this years Mobile World Congress in Barcelona the Nokia PureView 808 reportedly boasts a 41-megapixel sensor , runs on a Symbian OS and uses Carl Zeiss optics and Nokia-developed pixel over-sampling technology. Other specs include a single core 1.3 GHz CPU, a 4-inch, 360 x 640 pixel screen, 512 MB of RAM and 16 GB of storage. Read more about this here and here.

Eye-controlled Computer Technology
A Swedish company has developed an eye-controlled computer technology called the "Tobii Gaze" which could spell the end of the traditional mouse and could have applications for digital imaging. The technology will be demonstrated on windows 8 at this years International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. You can read more about this here.

Tilt Shift Photography
Also known as fake miniature photography is the art of turning photographs of real life objects/landscapes into miniature scale models. A couple of video examples can be found here and here. There are various tutorials you can find online. If you can't do it yourself in imaging software you might like to try this online service for photographs and this one for videos.

Recently I was looking for a rugged and compact digital camera and came across the Pentax Optio WG-1 GPS. It boasts the ability to be water proof down to 33 feet/10 meters, shock proof to falls of five feet/1.5 meters, cold proof down to 14 degrees Fahrenheit/-9.5 degrees Celsius and crush proof up to 220 pounds/100 kg. Time lapse Photography
