Also known as fake miniature photography is the art of turning photographs of real life objects/landscapes into miniature scale models. A couple of video examples can be found here and here. There are various tutorials you can find online. If you can't do it yourself in imaging software you might like to try this online service for photographs and this one for videos.

LG 3D Smart Phone

The first serious 3D smart phone is here. The technology has been around since the early 2000's but for a variety of reasons never caught on. This however, looks to change with the launch of LG 3D Smart Phone at the MWC 2011 in Barcelona. The phone is expected to be available to consumers in April this year.

50,000 Photos Donated

In a welcomed move, the State Library of Queensland has donated 50,000 photos to Wikimedia Commons. In case you didn't know Wikimedia is a free repository of image & sound files which can be used anywhere on the web.
