A Green Search Engine
Some of the biggest names in the search business have combined resources to come up with a green search engine called, "Ecosia".

Cloud Computing
Okay you probably wondering what cloud computing is.....basically all your applications are run remotely on another server instead of your own hard drive making a new line of computers slimmer, faster and cheaper to buy.
Here is a cloud computing demo of a new OS which uses this technology and another one can be found here.
Obviously there are questions about security , privacy and use in countries which don't support fast broad band speeds but all in all (cloud computing) is an interesting new concept.
