Some of the biggest names in the search business have combined resources to come up with a green search engine called, "Ecosia".

If you made this your search engine of choice it is claimed that the average user of "Ecosia" could save 2000 sq m of forest per year. Read more about this here !

Cloud Computing

Okay you probably wondering what cloud computing is.....basically all your applications are run remotely on another server instead of your own hard drive making a new line of computers slimmer, faster and cheaper to buy.

Here is a cloud computing demo of a new OS which uses this technology and another one can be found here.

Obviously there are questions about security , privacy and use in countries which don't support fast broad band speeds but all in all (cloud computing) is an interesting new concept.
