Also known as fake miniature photography is the art of turning photographs of real life objects/landscapes into miniature scale models. A couple of video examples can be found here and here. There are various tutorials you can find online. If you can't do it yourself in imaging software you might like to try this online service for photographs and this one for videos.

Recently I was looking for a rugged and compact digital camera and came across the Pentax Optio WG-1 GPS. It boasts the ability to be water proof down to 33 feet/10 meters, shock proof to falls of five feet/1.5 meters, cold proof down to 14 degrees Fahrenheit/-9.5 degrees Celsius and crush proof up to 220 pounds/100 kg.
